June-July: Infographics: Telling the Library Story

Are you looking for new ways to convey important library data and messages? Infographics (information graphics) may be the key. In fact, interest in infographics has increased seven fold in the last 2 years. This course will help you identify a library story that can be reinforced through visual presentation and learn more about the tools and techniques for creating effective infographics. As a part of the course you will…

•       Inventory library-specific data and statistics appropriate for visual presentation
•       Identify and experiment with infographic production tools
•       Follow guidelines for scale in creating data images
•       Create an infographic based on library data which reinforces a library story worth telling in your community

Instructor: Dawne Tortorella

Fee: $75 for those in the California library community and Infopeople Partners, $150 for all others.
