May: Lead the Change: Engaging Your Community (Southern California) (Library Journal)

Lead the Change: Engaging Your Community is a full-day, hands-on workshop that brings library thought-leaders, directors, and staff together to explore effective marketing and community engagement strategies.

During this interactive program, you will be exposed to fresh ideas, insights and views from David Bendekovic, program developer and his co-facilitators, including recent LJ Librarians of the Year and Movers and Shakers. You will be guided through a planning workbook and provided with tips, tools and techniques for developing and executing an integrated, sustainable marketing and engagement plan. You will be challenged to rethink your customers, your community, your processes and your organizational capabilities and will walk away with a framework that gets results.

Over the course of 2012 and 2013, more than 2,300 librarians representing over 1,000 libraries participated in Lead the Change workshops. This is your chance to participate in this highly acclaimed program and walk away with the tools needed to lead the change in your library and community.
