Aug: Security & Depository Access: Juggling Requirements and Restrictions (FDLP)

Part 1 of the Series entitled “All about Public Access”
Learning outcomes:  This webinar is for Federal Depository Library Program (FDLP) depository coordinators and will cover security issues that impact public access to depository materials. GPO outreach librarians will provide an overview of the most common security concerns encountered and go over the regulations concerning such issues. Multiple security concerns will be addressed, including: underage users in the library, filtering software on computers, and libraries in buildings with limited public access. Practical advice will be provided, so that libraries can conform to the legal requirements and FDLP program regulations.

Expected level of knowledge for participants: beginner knowledge of FDLP
