The flexibility of RDA: Resource Description and Access facilitates the cataloging of myriad unique types of library materials, including maps and cartographic resources. In this workshop, Susan Moore, a cataloger who teaches about the specific challenges of cataloging cartographic resources, will teach you the basics of creating a bibliographic record for a sheet map using RDA. Particular emphasis will be given to selecting a title, calculating scale, recording coordinates, measuring maps, and filling out the 336, 337, and 338 MARC fields.
