Once a disaster strikes, the knee-jerk reaction is to rush in and save everything, but racing in without advance planning puts collections at risk of more damage and staff at risk of injury.
This session, presented in celebration of Preservation Week 2015, will feature a live question-and-answer session. Participants will have an opportunity to comment on the recording of the 2010 webinar, "Disaster Response" and to ask questions of Nancy Kraft.
Submit questions in advance or bring them to the webinar. Topics covered will reflect the interests of participants and may cover disaster response, including assessment and planning, working with vendors and volunteers, handling public relations, and managing collection salvage.
Participants should come to the webinar having watched the recording of Disaster Response. Questions can be submitted ahead of time through a web form, or raised during the live session.
