The Future of the Integrated Library System?

All webinars are one hour in length and begin at 11am Pacific, noon Mountain, 1pm Central, and 2pm Eastern time.
 
Description: This webinar will examine the current state of Integrated Library Systems and their declining relevance to the needs of libraries and their patrons. It will also posit a comprehensive Knowledge Management focus for libraries as well as a new way of thinking about the discipline of librarianship.

Who should attend? Anyone with an interest in this topic can benefit from this session and is welcome to participate.

Presenter: Walter Nelson works for RAND Corporation, RAND Corporation, where he provides information support.  He made a decision when computers were first entering the workplace to focus on mastering and implementing Information Technology. He has been the web master and systems administrator for the RAND library, and has been instrumental in the introduction of technologies like blogging and RSS to the corporation.
