With the implementation of RDA, catalogers will want to be prepared to use this standard. This course will provide an introduction to the underlying principles and fundamentals of RDA. Upon completion of the course you will recognize and create bibliographic records using RDA, and you will learn and discuss the issues surrounding the adoption of the standard. Basic knowledge of AACR2 and MARC21 are required to take this course. Students will complete four weekly assignments, participate in class discussions, and submit a final project.
