Leadership, as Dwight Eisenhower once said, is the ability to get people to do what they don’t want to do and like it. That quote addresses two aspects of the power that a leader exercises. One is asking people to do something. The second is motivating people to achieve. At its core leadership is simple: moving others toward a goal. However leadership is difficult: creating an environment that enables people to succeed.
